Emission control / RECD, retrofit ready.
Cut your diesel generator's particulate matter emissions by 90%+ with a CPCB-compliant Retrofit Emission Control Device. Keep the genset, meet the norms.
- 90%+ PM reduction
- CPCB / DPCC compliant
- 50 – 6,000 kVA
- Filterless

A compliance upgrade for a running DG — without scrapping the asset.
A Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) — also called an Emission Control Device (ECD) — is an engineered product installed on a running diesel genset’s exhaust. It drastically reduces Particulate Matter along with Hydrocarbons, Carbon Monoxide and Nitrogen Oxides, while the genset keeps operating normally.
OVN, in partnership with Pi Green Innovations, brings a patented filterless PM-reduction technology to North India. We have models from 50 kVA up to 6,000 kVA, and our reference deployment is at the Hero MotoCorp plant in Andhra Pradesh.
Seven reasons to retrofit.
90%+ PM reduction
Filterless technology from Pi Green Innovations cuts Particulate Matter emissions by over 90% on running diesel gensets.
CPCB / DPCC compliant
Meets the CPCB and DPCC mandate for PM reduction on gensets above 125 kVA — Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat and a growing list of states.
Keep the genset, add compliance
Your existing diesel generator continues to serve. The retrofit is an exhaust-side addition, not a replacement project.
50 – 6,000 kVA coverage
Different RECD models cover the full industrial range — we size the unit to your genset's exhaust specs.
Filterless
No consumable filter, no PM-laden waste to dispose of. Lower total cost of ownership vs filter-based solutions.
Reference: HMC Andhra
OVN's reference installation is at Hero MotoCorp's plant in Andhra Pradesh — large diesel gensets retrofitted with the same technology.
Less HC, CO, NOx too
Alongside PM, the device reduces Hydrocarbons, Carbon Monoxide and Nitrogen Oxides.
Frequently asked questions
What is RECD / an Emission Control Device?
RECD stands for Retrofit Emission Control Device. It's an exhaust-side device added to a running diesel genset to reduce particulate matter (PM) and other pollutants to CPCB-compliant levels — without replacing the genset. ECD (Emission Control Device) is the same product, named more generally.
Is RECD mandatory for my generator?
For diesel gensets above 125 kVA in Delhi (DPCC), Haryana, Gujarat and several other states — yes, CPCB norms mandate PM reduction. Check your state Pollution Control Committee circular. If you're unsure, send us the genset details and we'll tell you.
Will it derate or affect my generator's performance?
No material derating. Back-pressure is engineered within OEM limits — we check at commissioning and confirm the genset is within spec. We've installed these from small industrial units up to Hero MotoCorp's plant gensets.
Is the device filter-based?
No — this is a filterless patented technology. No recurring filter replacement cost, no PM waste handling.
Do you provide compliance certificates?
Yes. Manufacturer certification and installation documentation support your compliance filings with the state PCC.
Facing a DPCC notice or CPCB deadline?
Share genset details — we'll confirm compliance scope and quote the RECD retrofit.
