AMC cost depends on KVA size, number of gensets, visit frequency and whether you want Comprehensive (parts + labour) or non-Comprehensive (labour only) cover. As a rough guide, small-KVA non-Comprehensive AMCs start around ₹8,000/year per genset, mid-range (250–500 kVA) typically land in the ₹20,000–60,000/year band, and large industrial Comprehensive plans are quoted case-by-case. Do you take over AMCs from other vendors?
Yes. Onboarding starts with an inspection and written current-condition report so the handover is clean. Any red flags go into the report so you know what you're inheriting before signing.
Can one AMC cover multiple gensets across multiple sites?
Yes. Multi-genset and multi-site fleet AMCs are common — single contract, single account manager, structured per-unit pricing. Critical sites in the fleet can carry the 2-hour SLA upgrade individually.
Can AMC cover gensets we didn't buy from OVN?
Yes — we service every major brand. Pre-AMC inspection flags any condition issues that need fixing before the contract starts.
What's not covered by an AMC?
Major overhauls (top-end, full engine rebuild), accident damage, third-party additions (fuel tank fabrication, separate switchgear projects) and acts of god. These are quoted separately when needed — most can be folded into a one-off engagement.
What's the typical AMC duration?
One year, renewable. Multi-year terms (2–3 years) are available with a price lock and tend to be popular with fleet customers.
